About the Role
ER COURIER is seeking dependable Independent Contractor Courier Drivers to handle urgent, scheduled, and on-demand medical deliveries throughout the Antelope Valley. In this role, you will be responsible for the secure, time-sensitive transport of critical medical items—including lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, supplies, and medical records—between hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and laboratories.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position, offering you the flexibility to manage your own schedule while providing vital support to our local healthcare community. This route has a full-time capacity, typically requiring 35–40 hours of delivery volume per week.If you are a disciplined self-starter who values precision and understands that every second counts, we want to partner with you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely and efficiently transport medical items along designated or on-demand routes.
* Strictly adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and medical temperature-control handling protocols.
* Maintain real-time communication with dispatch and accurately log deliveries via our mobile platform.
* Must be friendly to all Clients and anyone else you may come in contact with during your route and respect and keep confidential all patient and client privacy and privileges.
* Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid California Driver’s License.
* Must operate a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle (sedan, SUV, or cargo van) with up-to-date registration and auto insurance.
* Must have a clean driving record (provide a recent DMV printout upon request) and pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
* Must abide by all laws, including but not limiting to laws of driving and operating a motor vehicle (obtain a legal speed limit, etc)
* Possession of—or willingness to obtain—OSHA and HIPAA compliance certifications for medical transport (training resources can be provided, we use only the best education resources).
* Equipped with a reliable smartphone for GPS tracking, route updates, and digital proof-of-delivery (signature capture).
* Must be professional, punctual, and possess excellent communication skills.

* Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and provide a clean DMV printout.

* Equipped with a reliable smartphone for GPS routing and digital proof-of-delivery.
